Short review of Giant Robot, one my favorite zines ever made, edited by Martin Wong and Eric Nakamura, and covering a dizzying range of Asian and Asian-American topics, such as Hello Kitty, the Thai Elvis, filmmaker Gregg Araki, and Asian culinary oddities. Plus surreal punk travelogues offering a machine-gun spray of offbeat observations. Epilogue: Giant Robot folded in 2011, but lives on with an incredible merch site, including my favorite "Bruce Made Tapes". I still own two, in black and blue. And many back issues pushing 20 years old...
