Synopsis
A long piece examining the phenomenon of artworks being stolen from museums, often during opening hours, and sometimes violently. It's framed as a myth-busting article, debunking ideas such as theft on commission from collectors, gentleman thieves, and the 'inevitable' resurfacing of artworks. (Often important works get destroyed once the hapless gangsters realize how much harder it is to fence art than, say, diamonds.)
